Lifted High Counselling works with all ages, supporting a wide range of concerns, and providing you with evidence-based therapy and support services meeting your needs. Below is an overview of what I commonly help with — if you don't see your situation listed, reach out anyway; there's a good chance I can still help, or point you in the right direction.

Whether anxiety shows up as constant worry, panic, or avoiding the things that matter to you, it's highly treatable — and you don't have to keep managing it alone. I draw on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to help you understand your anxiety, build practical coping skills, and gradually feel more comfortable facing what currently feels overwhelming. The goal isn't to eliminate anxiety completely, but to help you build a healthier relationship with it.

When motivation and hope feel out of reach, it can be hard to know where to even start. Using CBT and DBT, we'll work to understand what's underneath your low mood, build small sustainable steps forward, and develop skills to manage difficult emotions as they arise. My aim is to help you reconnect with a sense of purpose and find your way back to feeling like yourself again.

Life can pile up quickly, and it's easy to feel like you're just getting through the day rather than living it. We'll work together to understand what's driving your stress and build practical, sustainable ways to manage it — including mindfulness-based strategies to help you slow down, stay grounded, and respond to pressure rather than be run by it. Over time, this can mean more energy, clearer thinking, and a greater sense of control over your day-to-day life.

Trauma can shape the way we see ourselves and the world, often in ways that aren't immediately obvious. I use Schema Therapy alongside trauma-informed, person-centred care to gently explore how past experiences may be influencing your current patterns, thoughts, and relationships. We move at a pace that feels safe for you, always working collaboratively so you feel supported and in control throughout the process. The goal is to help you process the past without being defined by it.
-
If self-doubt or a harsh inner critic feels like a constant companion, therapy can help shift that. I use Strength-Based Therapy to help you recognise and build on the qualities and capabilities you already have, alongside targeted skill-building to strengthen self-trust and confidence in everyday situations. Rather than starting from what feels "wrong," we start from what's already working and grow it further. Over time, this can mean feeling more comfortable in who you are and more confident in how you show up in your life.
-
Whether it's a romantic partnership, family relationship, or friendship, difficulties in how we connect with others often trace back to how we learned to bond early in life. I use Attachment-Focused Therapy to help you understand your relationship patterns, communicate more effectively, and build healthier, more secure connections with the people who matter to you. This work can support both individual reflection and preparing for change within your relationships.
-
New jobs, new family situations, moving, loss, or any major transition can bring up uncertainty even when the change is a positive one. I'll help you navigate what's shifting, process the emotions that come with it, and reconnect with what matters most to you as you move through it. Using a strength-based, collaborative approach, we'll focus on building the confidence and clarity you need to move forward on your own terms.
